About the Position: This position is located at 325th Medical Group, Tyndall AFB, Bay, Florida.

Duties

Verify, enter, and adjust budgetary data in a variety of forms, schedules and reports. Analyze and evaluate a wide variety of billing documents. Review documents for completeness, mathematical accuracy, and compliance with contract terms. Contact contractor to resolve discrepancies and to request corrected documents. Certify acceptance of services and prepares and distributes appropriate documentation to accounting and finance and contracting agencies for payment. Monitor year-end closing/de-obligations to ensure proper and full use of funds.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

One year of specialized experience which includes duties such as: planning, preparing, and coordinating contract service and funding requirements for service contracts, act as primary point of contact for coordinating activities, functions, and surveillance plans, and evaluate resources required to accomplish proposed projects in relation to committed resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance, Contracting, or Business. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementAttention to DetailContracting/ProcurementReasoning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
