About the Position: Serves as a staff-level military Human Resources (HR) Specialist in the Military Personnel Branch, G1/Human Resource Division, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Pacific Directorate with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of Military HR programs.
Duties
Serves as a staff member of a HR team responsible for providing solutions to unique and complex Military HR problems and issues to all levels of management officials within the IMCOM Pacific Directorate.
Integrate all policy, regulatory and program issuances with other staff actions to support the Directorate's mission requirements.
Responsible for the integration of military Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) requirements in Support of military HR operations.
Provide comprehensive and direct advice and guidance to the Directorate offices on all areas of military HR management regulations, policies and procedure.
Keep subordinate organizations for the Directorate informed of status and constantly changing policies/procedures affecting program areas.
Provides technical and policy guidance regarding the assigned military HR program(s).
Formulate Directorate policy and guidance for use by lower organizational levels to meet the needs and goals of the Directorate from broad guidance received from HQ IMCOM, Human Resources Command, Department of the Army, and Department of Defense.
Review changes in Legislative, DoD and DA regulations and policies pertaining to Military HR programs; identifies the impact of changes on the regulations, policies and procedures; prepares and coordinates implementation of guidance and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing military personnel management advisory services on complex issues. Using military personnel systems to oversee a variety of military human resource programs. Implement policy on military human resources programs to ensure compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
