You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

Duties
You will be required to supervise and direct subordinates who support the pre/post award environment, various types of acquisition programs at different stages in the acquisition cycle, and for implementing contractual and procurement policy actions.
You will provide expert knowledge of contract types, methods of contracting, terminology, source selection, commercial, industry business practices and other factors required to plan appropriate strategies and meet program objectives.
You will be responsible for providing advice/guidance to the staff and customers, communicating both orally and in writing to all levels of government and industry as well as supporting the Chief of the Contracting Office on all procurement matters.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an TS/SCI final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field 1102 Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning, directing and coordinating contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems
Analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing proposed and on-going procurements and cost and pricing data for highly complex multi-year acquisition of major systems
Developing and presenting conclusive oral/written presentations to all levels of government and industry
Performing a full range of immediate and intermediate supervisory duties at all grade levels
