This position is located in Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Park, in the Facilities Management Division. This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment.

Duties
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use ofa variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical,cement work, painting, and other related trades.
Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites while assistingon project work.
Maintain park grounds with mowers, blowers and trimmers.
Assist journeyman employee with painting, small carpentry jobs,small plumbing repairs.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
Knowledge of materials
Use of Measuring Instruments
