You will serve as a Safety Director in the NAVFAC Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-14 step 10 level.
Duties
You will plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the command?s safety and occupational health program.
You will provide oversight and technical safety expertise to eliminate and/or control hazards.
You will investigate and analyze mishaps and hazardous conditions to determine origin, causes and contributing factors, and prepare written evaluation reports concerning findings.
You will engage strategically with stakeholders to ensure work, actions and initiatives are aligned with EXWC priorities.
You will manage resources in order to advance support processes and capabilities in accordance with EXWC strategic goals.
You will ensure financial accountability and funds fidelity for resources under your cognizance.
You will network with safety experts to recruit and retain a fully capable warfare center focused safety team.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 to GS-14 or NT-3 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing customer service and technical safety and occupational health guidance to safety and occupational health personnel; 2) Using analytical and evaluative techniques to determine effectiveness of a safety program; 3) Planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the safety and occupational health program; and 4) Assisting in the development, review, and/or publishing of various command directives.
