About the Position:
This position is under the supervision of the HQ, MIL SURFACE DEPLOYMENT & DIST CMD, G6 - DCS FOR INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AUTOMATED SYSTEMS DIVISION (IMA), ENTERPRISE TECH BRANCH (IMA-DI), SCOTT AFB, IL 62225.
Duties
Develops and maintains contract documentation from development, pre-award, post-award, and termination or closure. Prepares and maintains technical and administrative reports on contractor's performance, violations and deficiencies.
Responsible for maintaining Headquarters (HQ) IT risk management program, which is designed to ensure that the Commands IT business systems and information assets are adequately protected.
Identify, evaluate and report on information security risks in a manner that meets HQs cybersecurity, privacy, and other governance requirements.
Implement practices and standards that meet DoD and Army standards for information and cybersecurity risk management.
Design and conduct risk assessments. Manage the oversight of technical cybersecurity risk assessments, such as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
- Must file an annual Financial Disclosure Statement.

Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (Applications Software)
Specialized and other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience acquiring services, software and/or other IT-related products and/or evaluate contractor performance; 2) Using current software testing techniques or requirements definition to meet customer requirements; 3) Applying program management principles to deliver capabilities through IT.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12).
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others.
(2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
