The Information Technology Specialist position is located in the Department of Program Services (DPS), Case Management Systems Office (CMSO), National Applications Division (NAD). The CMSO develops and maintains case management and related systems for federal appellate, district, and bankruptcy court judges and staff, probation and pretrial services officers, federal defenders, and external stakeholders.
Duties
This position will report to the Chief, National Applications Division (NAD) in the Case Management Systems Office (CMSO). The CMSO is seeking a self-motivated Information Technology Specialist Team Lead to provide oversight, supervision, and coordination of the AO, courts, and judicial case management systems. The CMSO Divisions include the Business Support Division, Case Management/Electronic Case Files Division, Federal Judiciary Services Division, National Applications Division, and Security, Policy, and Governance Division. The incumbent is responsible for resolving Tier III support issues and maintaining a knowledge base for all applications managed by the NAD. This includes applications which support the program offices and case management offices associated with Bankruptcy, District, and Appellate Courts, as well as Defender Services and Probation and Pretrial Systems. The incumbent manages the development and testing environments for all applications supported by the CMSO.
The incumbent is responsible for establishing and implementing the problem/issue resolution escalation policies and procedures for all the CMSO software products and works with other Team Leads, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs, and stakeholders across the CMSO, the AO, and offices and customers nationwide. The incumbent will be required to lead and provide guidance in areas throughout the entire software cycle in a customer-focused environment where high-quality deliverables must be met on time and operations are considered critical. The applications environment is 24/7/365 and work may be required outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated expert level experience resolving Tier III support issues in support of multiple and concurrent Information Technology (IT) products in large, complex environment; and implementing and managing a standard software development tool suite that works across all projects.
