This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The position is located with the US ARMY COMBAT CAPABILITIES DEV CMD SOLDIER CENTER CHIEF OF STAFF (SOLDIER CENTER) DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF, G-2 G-2, INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY. May be extended up to a maximum of 6 years. May be made permanent without further competition

Duties

Ability to develop written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/guidance. Understanding of classified work area and system procedures. Apply good interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on confidentiality. Perform strong administrative and organizational skills. Ability to maintain several databases and other administrative functions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• This position requires a one-year trial period.
• You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: Your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-01 pay band or equivalent grade level (GS-04) level in the Federal service which includes: Assist with Personnel Security, related administrative tasks. and provide contractor security support; 2) Advise personnel on matters related to security procedures and regulations; 3) identify, protect information from unauthorized disclosure and maintain materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-04). US Army Combat Capabilities Command DEVCOM, Soldier Center is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. The DE-02 pay band is equivalent to the GS-05 step 1 to GS-11 step 10 level.
