About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
Serves as a Supervisory Information Operations (IO) Exercise Controller and IO Field Support Team Mission Readiness Exercise team leader.
Duties
Plans and directs Mission Readiness Exercises (MRX)
Manages and directs the Mission Readiness Exercise(MRX) Team through all (MRX) phases.
Directly supervises and performs quality control checks of all scenarios inject development and execution activities.
Supervises and directs the Mission Readiness Exercise team's civilian, military, and contractor members.
Plans, prepares and facilitates MRX related training and operations.
Ensures that the MRX Information Operations (IO) Observer/Controller-Trainers are effectively observing, verifying, and reporting IO Field Support Team (FST) collective task performance.
Writes post-Mission Readiness Exercise briefings and reports as directed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to work additional duty hours and/or shift-work during training exercises.
- This position requires a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires urinalysis screening for illegal drug use, prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by conducting Army and/or Joint Information Operations (IO) in support of unit operations; having planned, prepared and conducted unit collective training processes; having extensive organizational leadership experience; and creating and conducting highly realistic, classified training exercises that provide mission-specific training and assessments of Information Operations (IO) collective task proficiency levels for deploying IO Field Support Teams.
