This position is located at Departmental Offices, Domestic Finance-Office of Financial Research. As an Information Technology Specialist (ENTARCH), you will be responsible for overseeing and technically supervise a team of Information Technology Specialists responsible for OFR's IT infrastructure strategy, roadmap, architecture and engineering.
Duties
As an Information Technology Specialist (ENTARCH), you will be:
- Responsible for the design and implementation of the OFR IT infrastructure strategy, roadmap, architecture and engineering.
- Serving as agency expert and subject-matter specialists on the design and implementation of a wide range of IT infrastructure technologies such as servers, operating systems, virtualization, security, remote access, networking, storage, etc.
- Responsible for the identification, evaluation selection and implementation of OFR hardware and software technology. Evaluate hardware and software effectiveness and station operations to ensure that information handling standards are being satisfied.
- Planning and overseeing deployment of technology capabilities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the OR-60 (GS-14): You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the OR-53 (GS-13) level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:
Experience administrating, configuring, operating, and maintaining data in AWS.; AND
Experience deploying applications and supporting users in Linux.; AND
Experience developing analytics in Python
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

3. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Time in Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the OR-60 (GS-14), you must have been at the OR-53 (GS-13) level for 52 weeks.
