About the Position: The primary purpose for the establishment of this job is to serve as a Supervisor over a group of Medical Support Assistants performing the duties of referral management in Womack Army Medical Center. Organizes and schedules the technical /clerical work in accordance with established priorities, policies and procedures. Assigns work, daily, weekly or monthly to employees, providing special instructions as necessary for new or unusual assignments.
Duties
Track and Book Referrals.
Ensure Referrals Results are electronically documented.
Organize, schedule and assign work to staff.
Receive and resolve patient and staff complaints involving referral tracking.
Apply knowledge of TRICARE Policies and database to manage and accomplish closure of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Right of First Refusal (ROFR).
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes having experience with disposition and tracking specialty referrals, rights of first refusal and durable medical equipment. Experience with compiling data to prepare reports for the Medical Facility, organizes and schedules work to be completed.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
