About the Position: The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient operation of the G1 (Personnel) programs,functions, and processes. Completes projects in support of strategic initiatives and overall business improvements. Performs studies and analyzes (manpower, civilian personnel, and military personnel) of internal G1 programs and functions across the Command.
Duties
Performs internal project oversight and serves as an advisor on all aspects of business strategy, policy development, and business process management and reengineering.
Coordinates and facilitates training for G1 and subordinate HR personnel on new systems and business processes.
Studies and evaluates G1 programs and processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of those programs.
Leads teams in developing process maps, conducting analysis, and performing analytical tasks to develop new and improved solutions for G1 operations and enabling functions/programs.
Conducts organizational assessments for strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for input to strategic and business planning and process improvement activities.
Plans and conducts complicated and comprehensive analytical studies in order to improve internal work processes and organizational structures.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

To Qualify for the GS-12:
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
Analyzing complex policies and/or procedures to measure management and/or program effectiveness.
Using data analytics to develop administrative policies.
Conducting in-depth research into initiatives to create alternatives and/or develop recommended changes to strategic plans.
Analyzing an organization's long-range plans and programs and their linkage to resource requirements to improve organizational performance/business process.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
