About the Position: Serve as the Real Property Branch Chief, with overall management and oversight of facilities sustainment, restoration, and modernization program (FSRM), real property accountability, installation master planning, and real estate actions. This position is located at the Pentagon.
Duties
Serve as the central point of contact to elements of the Department of Army General Staff on matters of master planning and real property facility condition ratings and restoration and modernization requirements.
Supervise the development of Army policy on behalf of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy, and Environment and guidance for Army real property accountability.
Prepare and monitor the branch's operating budget, ensuring efficient use of funds and other available resources.
Direct the development of policies and procedures pertaining to Active and Reserve Component utilization of installations and stationing of Army units and activities.
Plan the work to be accomplished by subordinate personnel; sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Review actions pertaining to real property utilization survey reports to include developing and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires a Top Secret Security clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
- Occasional temporary duty travel (TDY) may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
