You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the PUBLIC WORKS of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will brief management to provide production status, updates, or other business information. You will discuss production information with project members to coordinate the master plan for completion of projects. You will develop written plans of action to document support of specialized goals. You will use a computer to monitor and query production workload. You will analyze cause for delay to determine corrective action for production scheduling issues. You will maintain production data to manage work orders and materials.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Selecting, acquiring, storing, or distributing an organization's resources, such as, materials, equipment, financial resources, inventory, human skills, production resources, or information technology (IT); 2) Applying knowledge in managing production work, projects, or operations, and determining the status of production work in progress; 3) Scheduling production work based on production line or shop capacity, priority, and due date, in addition, arranges or makes adjustments to production schedules for optimum production processes; 4) Using information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, and database systems; 5) Writing information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
