About the Position: Serves as the Project Manager's (PM) Senior Business Management Specialist, with the responsibility for managing and evaluating assigned procurement and business activities. Represents the PM as authority at meetings, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and conferences.

Duties

Develop long-range acquisition plans to improve contractual approaches. Manage proper employment of organizational policies, procedures and directives. Oversee a full range of contract administrative functions required for an acquisition program.

Requirements

  • This position requires a secret security clearance.
  • This position requires occasional TDY.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position may require a one-year probationary period.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

To qualify at the GS 12: Specialized Experience is defined as having one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing the following duties; 1) Reviewing contracts to procure armament systems for an acquisition program; 2) Researching and presenting guidance on ways to improve the effectiveness of program; AND 3) Reviewing contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations To qualify at the GS 13: Specialized Experience is defined as having one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing the following duties; 1) Developing contracts to procure armament systems for an acquisition program; 2) Formulating and establishing guidance on ways to improve the effective ness of program; AND 3) Overseeing contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition StrategyContracting/ProcurementCost Benefit Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11/12).
