About the Position: Works under closer than normal supervision and works in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed at preparing the incumbent for the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties outlined in the aforementioned job description.
This a term position and this position will not be made permanent.
Duties
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met.
Serves as COR and is responsible for planning, developing, writing, and reviewing statements of work and performance work statements, performance assessment plans, and technical evaluation plans for IT service contracts.
Performs contract surveillance for IT service contracts through random sampling, planned sampling, and 100% inspections of completed work.
Determines valid workload changes/recurring requirements brought about by changes in procedures/operations.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Must be able to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in quality assurance surveillance of assigned Information Technology (IT) contracts to ensure compliance; and, monitoring and assessing contractor performance and progress to avoid or minimize delays. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09).
For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
Education: I have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
