Duties
You will serve as a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist responsible for surveying contractor compliance with Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs) and Department of Army (DA) regulatory guidance.
You will monitor operations to ensure work areas and conditions are conducive to a quality product.
You will execute contract surveillance techniques/procedures in inspecting contract operations to determine the degree of efficiency and effectiveness achieved.
You will ensure evaluation methods provide systematic and equitable review appropriate to the service; includes methods for determining acceptability/non- acceptability of performance.
You will ensure the work and quality of work are performed in accordance with Technical Manual (TM) 10/20, OEM standards, PRS, QASP and/or contract/PWS.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- TDY travel is occasionally required.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) the development of Quality Assurance plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the item's life cycle; (2) monitoring operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adherence to quality plans and requirements; and (3) analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
