You will serve as an INSPECTOR/INVESTIGATOR/ANALYST within the Hotlines and Investigations Division of the NAVSEA Office of Inspector General.
Duties
You will analyze trends in inspection results of similar activities, assist in the on-going program to eliminate fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement and related improprieties, and coordinate follow-up actions.
You will conduct inquiries and interviews as a representative of the Inspector General, when requested.
You will provide oversight and review of the effectiveness and efficiency of NAVSEA programs and operations to deter and detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement throughout the NAVSEA enterprise.
You will intake and conduct investigations of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and related improprieties in response to complaints made to the GAO, DoD IG, Navy Inspector General, NAVSEA hotlines, or to members of Congress.
You will analyze information from audits, assessments, contract reviews, inspections and investigations, to identify vulnerabilities in NAVSEA programs, as relates to program integrity, efficiency, effectiveness and the potential risk for fraud.
You will be responsible for ensuring timely performance of command directed inspections/investigations/ inquiries/reviews.
You will analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs.
You will prepare executive summaries and formal reports for internal reviews, inspections, investigations, inquiries, and assessments that are technical sufficient, and ensure total quality and readability.
You will conduct meetings and briefings with senior management officials to effectively communicate, negotiate, justify, and defend all issues.
You will conduct pre-inspection planning and analysis, oversee the conduct of on-site inspection visits, and review overall inspection results.
You will provide oversight and review of the effectiveness and efficiency of NAVSEA programs and operations to deter and detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement throughout NAVSEA enterprise.
You will develop, direct, and execute independent internal reviews throughout NAVSEA.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting Inspector General investigations of waste, fraud, abuse, or mismanagement of prescribed resources (e.g. payroll fraud, travel fraud, material substitution, personnel management, waste, procurement, contracting issues, standards of conduct violations, etc.) to ensure enforcement and compliance with industry and agency established directives and operational standards.
