This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans- Center for Prevention Programs and Partnership (CP3). The primary purpose of this position is to deliver instructor-led training classes for homeland security, targeted violence, violence prevention, and/or public health programs. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a Program Analyst (Training), GS-0343-13/14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Develops, coordinates, and implements training programs that support the public health informed prevention mission for the Department and in communities throughout the US. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to encourage knowledge-sharing of best practices within prevention space to sustain improvements in developing further training programs. Analyzes targeted violence and terrorism prevention program assumptions, goals, and strategies, and makes program recommendations based on findings. Produces regular training program updates to inform leadership of the efficacy of programs. All DHS-HQ announcements have a 5 business day open period due to the number of applications received. Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Comprehensive experience in instructional design in developing instructor-led and online training courses and experience delivering instructor-led training classes for homeland security, targeted violence, violence prevention, and/or public health programs. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Comprehensive experience in instructional design in developing instructor-led and online training courses and experience delivering instructor-led training classes for homeland security, targeted violence, violence prevention, and/or public health programs. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
