About the Position: This position is located at the Chemical School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Responsible for the development of active and reserve component institutional training products for the US Army CBRN School, Training Support Division. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for resident training learning options and instructional delivery modes. Coordinate the execution of the CBRN Pre-Command Course (PCC). Coordinate with MSCoE G-3 Department of Training on the Training Development Capability (TDC) Program of Instruction documentation and all Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) learning product. Assist in resource allocation, personnel management, development and management of annual training strategy, and mission/task assignments.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel may be required up to 5% of the duty time.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) researching, developing, and explaining new ideas, strategies, and devices for integrating and or improving training; 2) planning and scheduling all external support requirements for training areas, equipment and personnel for the division; AND 3) reviewing programs of instruction, training support material, and operating policies and procedures to ensure the standardized application of training strategies and performance standards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Learning and Program EvaluationManaging Human ResourcesTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
