Nurse (Employee Health) will work in Quality Management Department at the Whiteriver Service Unit, Whiteriver, Arizona. Incumbent will be responsible to provide comprehensive management of the infection control program and management of employee health programs, Nurse (Employee Health) will be supervised by the Quality Management Director.
Duties
Conduct new employee orientation in Infection Control/Employee Health as needed.
Manage and coordinate the Infection Control and Flu Vaccine program.
Prevent, identify and control infections acquired in the hospital or brought into the hospital from the community.
Ensure that all employees/volunteers immunizations and TB skin testing is conducted in a timely manner.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained OR
Have a degree from Foreign Nursing School and possess an Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools.
Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
In addition to the above requirements, applicants must meet one of the following requirements for the grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
FOR GS-0610-11 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Develop policies and procedures for infection control, employee health, and patient safety to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements. Understand and present health and educational resources. Manage employee health records, collect data and prepare reports for quality improvement and clinical committees .OR
Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.
