This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Commandant, Civil Rights Directorate (CG-00H), Office of Planning & Resources (CG-00H-1), Planning & Resource Management Division (CG-00H-12), in Washington, DC.
Duties
You will serve as the Deputy to the Office Chief, and supervise military and civilian members and functions as a senior Management and Program Analyst with responsibility for funding, planning, training, administering, and evaluating complex and critical administrative operations and programs.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
AT the GS-14 level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the federal service.
Specialized experience includes:
evaluating and recommending efficiencies in business processes and policies;
supervising or leading a team that provides integration of strategic performance management;
developing strategic and operational plans to meet program objectives;
reporting, and analyzing data relating to operations and performance;
providing technical advice to division and senior leadership on strategic initiatives; and
conducting management studies, preparing statistical and analytical reports, briefing leadership on results, and making recommendations.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
