Duties

Serve as Director of Postal Operations for HQs, US Army Pacific (USARPAC), G1, Plans and Operations and Policy and Programs (POPP). Plan, coordinate, and supervise Theater Army postal operations. Responsible for supporting operations and exercises in the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and USARPAC area of responsibility. Develop policy and procedures for movement of official and personal mail to/from worldwide locations and within the INDOPACOM Theater. Supervise and oversee the Postal Operations Division and Incheon Joint Military Mail Terminal.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Position is designated as drug testing required. Incumbent is subject to pre-employment and random urinalysis testing upon employment.
  • Incumbent may be required to perform shift work 24/7 during operational contingencies and/or execution of military exercises.
  • Position requires performance of temporary duty assignments to support military exercises. May be required to travel by military aircraft, accompany military units in the field to train military personnel and provide support to the military unit.
  • A one year supervisory probationary period may be required.
