About the Position: Serves as the Director of Installation Management Directorate at Watervliet Arsenal, responsible forthe direction of all phases of the organization's program and work.
Duties
Oversees and directs the management of public works for WVA, which includes of the execution of the facilities support activities.
Directs the coordination and accomplishment of major facilities and construction projects.
Provides guidance and direction on the effective use of resources, furnishing expert technical assistance and advising subordinates on new or revised policies and regulations.
Directs the execution of emergency services for the installation to include law enforcement ,physical, personnel and information security, antiterrorism/force protection, and fire protection/prevention programs.
Directs the execution of the Tenant Management Program, to include annual review of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandum of Agreement (MOAs), ISSAs and other lease documentation.
Directs the execution of the WVA Strategic Plan within the IM Directorate. Participates in strategic planning discussions and ensures directorate support of the development, implementation ,and sustainment of the WVA Strategic Plan.
Maintains regular and effective liaison with higher authority. This includes the effective communication with leadership, peers, and subordinates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
