You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the NAVAL CONSTRUCTION GROUP TWO of 20THNAVALCONSTRREG.

Duties

You will perform various administrative duties which are auxiliary to the work of the organization. You will independently draft and initiate correspondence and reports. You will monitor the command tickler for accuracy to ensure military personnel gains, transfers, separations, and awards are processed. You will maintain files of correspondence, publications, directives, travel. You will set up and maintain logs showing the status of actions (such as messages, leave, reports and telephone calls). You will input contractor information into the Trusted Agent Sponsorship. (TASS) You will act as the Defense travel System (DTS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) on TAD travel regulations, transportation schedules, fares and procedures.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of common administrative practices and procedures to perform functions such as correspondence, budget, records management, travel, reports control, supply training, personnel and pay entitlements, awards and performance management, evaluations, fitness reports and protocol policy. Experience reviewing and editing correspondence, assuring compliance with the Navy Correspondence Manual. Experience operating a computer and related equipment, i.e., printers etc... This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
