About the Position: This position is with the US Army Cadet Command 7th Brigade, in Fort Knox, Kentucky
This is a Permanent position.
Duties
Advise senior staff regarding technical military and/or civilian annual evaluations and awards.
Process various personnel actions for military personnel using an automated Human Resource database
Prepare written correspondence (read ahead, briefing charts, etc.) for the Command Group.
Coordinate travel arrangements and process travel documents using an automated travel system for the organization.
Requirements
- TDY required 10% of the time/Employee required to attend C3P0 training 3rd week from EOD at Fort Knox, Kentucky
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- May require a 1- year probation period

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as work performed at the GS-05 level in federal service: work that involves reviewing applications to determine eligibility, completing forms and maintaining the military record jackets and maintaining an automated Human Resource system to review applicant material. OR I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves 1) applying a standard body of military personnel duties, regulations, procedures and operations concerning the preparation of enrollment and contract documents to maintain and update military record jackets for ROTC cadets, and to perform military functions in support of unit military cadre. 2) ROTC organization and functions of the Detachment sufficient to provide regulatory guidance and program eligibility information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours ( or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
