This is a Program and Management Analyst (Operations) position in the Department of Justice, Community Relations Service (CRS). CRS' mission is to provide tension reduction and conflict resolution services to diverse stakeholders to both resolve and prevent community-level disputes. CRS provides facilitated dialogue, mediation, and training to assist communities to come together, develop solutions to the conflict, and enhance their capacity to independently prevent and resolve future conflict.

Duties

The duties and responsibilities for a 0343 Program and Management Analyst (Operations) generally include, but are not limited to, the following: The incumbent serves as Program and Management Analyst (Operations) providing counsel on CRS program operations and management decisions. Develops and manages systems for handling congressional requests for information Provide counsel on program operations and management decisions from senior level management. Provide reports from the congressional statistics for Agency officials. Manage special projects for Agency organizations. Develop financial statements and reports for management officials.

Requirements

  • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
  • You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
  • You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
  • Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Program and Management Analyst (Operations) at (GS-0343-13), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Analyzing and recommending responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to support operations and administration of programs. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including Time-in-Grade, by the closing date of this announcement, 07/27/2023.
