About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7 USA Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA) Fort Eustis VA. Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Serve as the Administrative Support Specialist to support the command ensuring office supplies and equipment to include ordering, issuing, turning in, and conducting inventories for federal and commercial items.
Review and recommend changes to correspondence and formatting of documents.
Responsible for providing day-to-day management of a variety of support services functions for the directorate encompassing supply, building maintenance, security, clearances, and travel, along with other critical functions.
Maintain and reconcile all government purchase card billing statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with established purchase card policies and procedures.
Control utilization of supply and procurement funds and projects fiscal year budget requirements for supply and equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within 1 year after appointment to this position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Overseeing a government purchase card program; 2) Manage a supply account to include identify supplies required for mission support and procures; 3) Develop and write policies; and 4) Plan and coordinate a variety of training functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business (Administration/Management).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
