About the position: This position will be assigned to the Aquatics Center on Ellsworth AFB.
Must have approved and current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification in lifesaving and water rescue, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (infant, child and adult)
This is a flexible work schedule within no minimum guaranteed hours; however may work up to 40 hours.
Duties
Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons.
Rescues swimmers in trouble and promptly administers first aid if and when needed.
May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area.
Maintains schedules of aquatic programs and classes.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have an approved and current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (infant, child and adult) training.
Experience and practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
