Duties
This position is located within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Mission Support Division (MSD), Operations Support (OS). You will provide oversight and analysis on a variety of programs and policies related to logistics. This includes budget methodology and control; statistical research and performance measurement; information systems; management techniques and theories; organizational structure; planning and control systems; and public and congressional liaison.
This position starts at a salary of $132,368.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $172,075.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $172,075.00 (GS-14 Step 10).

In the Management and Program Analyst position you will become a key team member of the Immediate Office of the Executive Assistance Commissioner. Typical work assignments include:
Directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing logistics and asset management programs.
Providing technical assistance and direct support to management staff in all matters relating to the application of logistics and asset management systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
Developing and recommending improvements in services, either individually or through the leading of teams and/or projects in the redesigning, automating, and re-engineering of processes in order to meet the varied and changing requirements of the office.
Formulating budget allocations and redistribution to both bargaining and non-bargaining entities throughout the program office.
Mentoring, coaching, facilitating, and/or negotiating in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Providing oversight and technical logistics expertise to an organization that involve planning, implementing, coordinating, and controlling all logistics management functions.
Maintaining, issuing, and accounting for all aspects of government-issued equipment management, knowledgeable of all resources, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services required for each cost center.
Managing the inventory database for multiple cost centers throughout the nation.
Making purchases according to budgetary guidelines and Purchase Card Holder policies and regulations.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/21/2023.

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates (as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years. Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
