About the Position: This position serves as a Records and Information Management Specialist for the Joint Activities. This position is located in Fort Liberty North Carolina. Fort Liberty is co-located with Fayetteville, North Carolina, a culturally diverse city.
Duties
Serve as the Deputy Command Records Manager and Privacy Act coordinator for the organization.
Conduct regular privacy policy compliance assessments to ensure that the command and its unit?s privacy policies are being adhered to.
Implement the records management, document, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) program.
Provide oversight for the Records Administration, Electronic Forms, Publications Management, Joint Records and Information Management Systems.
Analyze and interpret legislation, policy, and regulatory guidance for dissemination to activities at all levels.
Conduct training and education for senior members, staff and information management coordinators.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee must be able to acquire and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and selected Special Access Programs.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be subject to short notice recall.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
- Position may be subject to one year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering a files management program to include training requirements; utilizing automated and manual filing and retrieval systems; and conducting assessments and delivering briefings on findings and recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
