About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-1, Adjutant General Division, Record Management and Publications Branch located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Manage the Records Management Program throughout the US Army Reserve Command (USARC). Direct inspections and evaluations to ensure execution of records management in the headquarters and throughout the command. Conduct the annual review of all publications withing the command. Coordinate the proper disposition of records consistent with Department of Army policies and procedures. Serve as the Command Publishing and Printing Officer and principal command advisor on essentiality of proposed publications. Maintain oversight responsibility for editing, printing and publishing USAR publications. Regulate Official Mail Management Program, including USAR postal deployment operations and training. Mange all USAR MSC mail rooms and funding, and operation of mail rooms at USARC and OCAR HQ.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes writing and editing publications in accordance with guidance from higher headquarters at the Department of Defense, Military Service Component or other US Government level agencies developing and implementing records management policies, procedures, and/or methods for a records management program, advising on all matters relating to the review and release of information in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or Privacy Act (PA), monitoring postal operations to ensure compliance with postal readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
