The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a security specialist providing personnel, information, OPSEC, and industrial security program functions. To perform integrated defense functions and additional duty programs, to include facility management, safety, environmental stewardship, physical security, resource protection, and launch operations.
Duties
DUTY 1: Executes and enforces compliance with the organization Personnel Security Program and Arming Use of Force requirements.
DUTY 2: Serves as security specialist, executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated security program.
DUTY 3: Implements and administers the Operations Security (OPSEC) program and additional security programs.
DUTY 4: Serves as Industrial Security representative.
DUTY 5: Provides and administers the squadron Security, Education, Traning & Awareness (SETA) program.

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
- Department of Defense Physical Security Certification (PSC) is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M and AFI36-2645.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-I, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include applying knowledge of physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.

EDUCATION: I have successfully completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist Commanders and managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies., accomplish projects, and evaluate results for the management and improvement of security programs.
Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.
Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
Ability to advise leadership and develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to estbalish effective professional working relationshoops with coweorkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working enviornment and successfil accomplishment of the mission.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
