You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR in the HEADQUARTERS AND SERVICE BATTALION of HQTSBATTALION.

Duties

You will serve as a Social Services Administrative Coordinator for the Behavioral Health Branch of Marine and Family Services. You will perform a variety of miscellaneous duties and responsibilities to provide continuity and efficiency of client and staff support, administrative operations and procedures. You will order supplies and resources through the US Marine Corps on-line purchasing requisition systems in coordination with Battalion Supply and Behavioral Health Branch Program staff. You will maintain an update confidential Behavioral Health Branch Program databases when new cases are received. You will perform various duties associated with personnel administrative, file management and project tracking. You will prepare and monitor confidential correspondence and minutes for committee, clinical and staff meetings. You will receive and screen visitors and telephone calls as well as take and relay messages to corresponding staff members. You will provide client support, supply management and purchasing and data processing,

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience assisting with various office administration duties for behavior or medical health office and/or program including tracking and purchasing of supplies, records development and management, personnel data processing, as well as client support and correspondence.
