This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Acquisitions Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD.

Duties

This position is located within the IBNSC Division at the Surface Acquisitions Logistics Center (SALC). The IBNSC Division provides integrated logistics product development and support to the Programs within CG-932, sustainment organization Product Line personnel, and is the transition agent between acquisitions and sustainment.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include the following: Mastery of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methodsfor the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems. - Comprehensive knowledge of the range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more important public programs. - Knowledge of agency program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the worth of program accomplishments. - Skill to plan, organize, and direct team study work. - Skill and ability to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals: o involve substantial agency resources, o require extensive changes in established procedures, or o may be in conflict with the desires of the activity studied. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
