This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing "assistive technology" and support. "Assistive
Technology" (AT) includes assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices such as ergonomic keyboards and monitor risers for people with dexterity issues, recording devices and memory queuing aids for people with cognitive issues, and text magnification software for people with low vision.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Identify and resolve critical issues that affect information technology policies, operations and systems, accessibility to the electronic and information technology environment, and/or the acquisitions of technology.
Formulate operational decisions or solutions regarding management and oversight pertaining to contractor-performed work in support of specific programmatic responsibilities.
Provide assistive technology and support to access the electronic and information technology environment to those with disabilities and/or other conditions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
