Duties

As a participant in the Pathways Intern Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position. The incumbent works independently on continuing assignments or projects that require application of standard well-establish principles. Performs assignments of limited scope and complexity designed to guide the incumbent towards the skills to perform the job. The incumbent selects approach and methods used to complete various tasks.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Official/Unofficial transcripts with the current enrollment course load.
• Must be enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half time basis.
• Educational enrollment MUST be on a half-time or full-time basis. Half-time basis is defined by the academic institution that the student is enrolled or accepted into.

Qualifications

Pathways Interns qualify based on their educational achievements. For the GS-02 grade level: Completion of a High school diploma or equivalent. For the GS-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study. For the GS-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing KSA's or competencies are required.

For the GS-02 grade level: Completion of a High school diploma or equivalent.
For the GS-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study.
For the GS-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree.

Qualifying education must be conferred or awarded by the closing date of this announcement.
