This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-OPERATIONS AND INFRASTRUCTURE CENTER (EXM3).
Duties
Assist in Administrative tasks to support the Contract /Acquisition team in areas to include but not limited to: Invoice Validation, Document Process Updates, Quarter Portfolio Meeting preps, maintain document repository.
Assisting with management support programs in areas to include but not limited to: Coordination of civilian award processing, Timekeeping, Training Reports, Policy/Program research and development.
Participates in the development, maintenance and monitoring of programs with interrelated functions and operations.
Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant financial trends and issues. Prepares reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half time basis.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Educational enrollment MUST be on a half-time or full-time basis. Half-time basis is defined by the academic institution that the student is enrolled or accepted into.
- Official/Unofficial transcripts with the current enrollment course load.
- Applicants must be able to furnish course registration information at the start of each school term; and be able to provide verification of academic status (official transcript) at the end of each academic term.

Student Interns qualify based on their educational achievements.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
For the GG-02 grade level: Completion of a High school diploma or equivalent.
For the GG-03 grade level: Completion of 1 full academic year of post high school study.
For the GG-04 grade level: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree.
All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION ELIGIBILITY: Upon successful completion of their academic program and the Internship program, interns may be converted to a term GG-9 position in the competitive service consistent with agency needs, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential. Conversion potential for this opportunity is a GG-0343- 5/7/9/11/12 up to the full performance level of GG-12 However, future budgetary events, hiring restrictions, conversion caps, or other events may preclude the conversion or conversion to a position with the full potential performance level. Individuals converted to a position in the competitive service may be subjected to participation in an agency formal development program.
To be eligible for conversion:
Meet any agency-specific requirements specified in the Participant's Agreement.
Demonstrate successful job performance that results in a rating of record of at least Fully successful and a recommendation for conversion by the first level supervisor.
Complete at least 640 hours of work experience acquired through the Program while enrolled as a half- or full-time degree- or certificate-seeking student;
Complete a course of academic study/degree conferred, at a qualifying educational institution conferring a diploma, certificate or degree
Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the intern will be converted;
Receive a favorable recommendation by supervisor
Minimum 2.5 GPA
