This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Needs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the US Army Installation Management Command, Directorate of Public Works, Master Planning Division. The incumbent serves as real property specialist performing technical and administrative duties relating to real property accountability and real estate.

Duties

Interprets technical policy, procedures and regulation to provide technical and administrative advice and assistance Analyzes realty and real property information to identify issues and recommend solutions. Review realty and space utilization accomplishments of garrisons for technical adequacy, consistency, and compliance with policies, procedures, and directives. Formulates overall programs and plans for real estate/real property management and accountability.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience including 1) Interprets real estate agreements and regulations to provide guidance and recommendations; 2) advises on space utilization such as long and short term and reconfiguration plans; and 3) coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on real estate and real property projects and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
