You will serve as a Secretary (OA) in the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training of CNATT UNIT LEMOORE.

Duties

You will research, review, verify, proofread, prepare, correct files, distribute, maintain, and track letters, correspondence, memorandums, reports, spreadsheets, lists, logs paper/electronic mail ensuring efficient workflow of data and information. You will answer phone calls, emails, video-teleconferencing and face-to-face walk-in requests for assistance, data, and information, and takes messages or forwards to an appropriate subject matter expert. You will maintain organizational calendar and notify attendees as appropriate, via verbal, email or MS Teams. You will perform secretarial, administrative, clerical, and telephone reception for their assigned (Ech IV) organization (i.e. centers, detachments, sites, and units) as designated, assigned and required.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide a full range of clerical, administrative, and customer service support for Staff and Higher Echelon personnel; 2) Safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with established regulations and procedures; 3) Provide administrative support in an office setting to include preparing, proofreading or editing correspondence, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, and answering phones; 4) Provide assistance making necessary travel arrangements in accordance with applicable travel regulations; 5) Maintain Microsoft Office software systems to include: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams; and 6) Manage daily calendar events to establish priorities, scheduling meetings, and making appointments.
