Duties

Enter, retrieve and update data in an automated purchasing system. Use a government purchase card to procure supplies. Receives monthly purchase card statements of accounts and ensures the statement balance with purchases. Research supplier catalog databases to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products. Research customer supply problems, resolves problems and takes appropriate action when quality is unacceptable. Performs stock level inventory and analyzes the results.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
