About the Position: The position is located in the Army Threat Integration Center (ARTIC) in the Office of The Provost Marshall General at the Pentagon. As a Senior Investigative Analyst, you will analyze incoming intelligence data from law enforcement and military sources, apply advanced analytical techniques, and review products completed by other analysts before publication.
Duties
Consolidates and evaluates incoming police intelligence and military intelligence threat data and information, ensuring that necessary follow-up actions have been initiated.
Provide terrorist threat warning and situational awareness reports to Senior Army Leadership.
Serve as the primary liaison to develop working relationships with counterparts in other law enforcement and intelligence activities to exchange pertinent information and/or provide free flow of information on matters of mutual interest.
Conduct a wide variety of analysis to detect trends, identifying modus operandi, predicting potential terrorist attacks or pre-attack planning against targets.
Review, edit, and provide feedback on other analytical products developed by the organization prior to production.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of laws and policies relating to Law Enforcement Reporting, Intelligence Oversight, Privacy, and Civil Liberties relating to police intelligence and military intelligence and implement changes to internal procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station approximately 15% of the time.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE) to support mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension and mobilization. Must sign DD Form 2365 Essential Position Agreement.
- Drug Test Required. In accordance with Change 3, AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. This position must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position requires access to classified information. This position will be required to complete a Standard Form (SF) 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA) form.
- Position requires shift work which includes Federal Holidays, nights and weekends.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes: (1) Evaluating incoming police intelligence and military intelligence threat data (2) Applying advanced police intelligence techniques and evaluating the validity, veracity, and relevance of available data and (3) Applying expert knowledge of federal regulations, policies, and analytical standards to evaluate products to ensure compliance and inform risk mitigation decisions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
