This position serves as executive secretary to the Chief, Clinical Resources Manager (CRM) in Fargo, North Dakota. This service is comprised of an Administrative Resource Management Section and multifaceted clinical section serving a variety of Veterans Needs.
Duties

Major duties include:
Receive and screens calls and visitors;
Receives and screens incoming mail and publication addressed to CRM.
Maintains control on incoming correspondence, and reports;
Composes and types responses to reports and other requests;
Answers inquiries on status of projects, reports, regulations, and directives;
Schedules departmental/station meetings of professional and nonprofessional staff;
Review quality improvement reports to ensure information is accurate and achieves goal of the report;
Takes and transcribes dictation;
Corrects punctuation, spelling, and grammar for document transmittal;
Answers questions on policy and procedures, disseminating information as necessary;
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Full-Time; Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/21/2025.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position? To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: integrating various types of software packages; utilize software programs such as, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook; preparing correspondence and other materials such as organizational charts, graphics, spreadsheets, outlook messages; initiating and following up on work orders; utilizing a computer and calculator for budget reconciliation; using and maintaining office equipment such as dictation equipment, calculators, computer, copy machine, and facsimile machine. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.

TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: The work is mainly sedentary. Some walking, standing and bending to file records and carry light items such as files is involved. Employee must deal with constant workload interruptions by urgent problems, broad in scope, requiring much consideration and resolution.
