Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.
Duties
This position is located in our Management Division . As a Management Services Officer, you will:
Serve as a key advisor to the Deputy Associate Director, Management Division on the immediate and long-range planning of the assigned administrative activities, and the integration of those activities with the objectives of FinCEN management and the linkage with other administrative and management activities.
Direct the development of policies, procedures, directives and other communiques in connection with functional responsibilities. Analyzes the impact of and provides comment on proposed regulatory and legal issuances. Oversees the review of operations to assure that policy, regulatory and legal guidelines are being followed within FinCEN.
Serve as first line supervisor over a staff that conducts a wide variety of administrative functions. Determines organizational objectives and establishes priorities. Establishes performance plans and provides feedback and appraisals. Recommends selections, promotions, awards, within-grade increases, and reassignments. Initiates actions to deal with conduct and performance deficiencies. Attempts to resolve employee relation issues.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Leading administrative management functions, such as: information management, facilities services and related communication services, Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, records management or other administrative support activities; AND
-Managing administrative projects and day to day operations of an administrative staff; AND
-Reviewing and interpreting policies; OR
-Coordinating a range of property management programs, including construction or lease acquisitions.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
