At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime. Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.

Duties

As a/an DATA ACCESS AND MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, you will: Promote customer compliance with guidelines and parameters through audits, reports, and interviews. Coordinate with supervisor regarding appropriate action to remedy issues of non-compliance. Provide consultation and policy clarification, to staffs of law enforcement, regulatory, intelligence, and financial organizations that utilize FinCEN's data. Utilize expertise to assess the impact and effectiveness of program operations, explore further advancements in the methodology and techniques, and serve as a liaison with other analytical experts within and outside FinCEN concerning BSA products and services.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes BOTH of the following: - Experience with promoting customer compliance with guidelines and parameters through audits, reports, and interviews; AND - Experience with providing consultation and policy clarification, to staffs of law enforcement, regulatory, intelligence, and financial organizations that utilize data. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
