You will serve as a DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER in the PEO for Submarines (PEO SUB), Deputy Commander, Submarine In-Service (SEA 07), Deputy Command, Underseal Technology and Integration (SUB 073) of PEO SSN.
Duties
You will as the Deputy Program Manager with the Program Manager for (PMS 415) lead the program office in cost effective development, acquisition, testing, installation and life cycle support for submarine and surface ship torpedo defense systems.
You will as the Deputy Program Manager portfolio includes submarine and surface ship launched countermeasures, countermeasure systems, and developmental weapons systems.
You will be responsible for all aspects of program management related to research and design; systems modernization, procurement, production and delivery; complex software integration test and fielding.
You will ensure acquisition efforts cover all types of strategies and contracting types and include industry partners, educational partners and Navy field activities.
You will have direct supervisory management responsibility for civilians assigned to division.
You will determine responsibilities, evaluate employee performance, recommend appropriate incentives, initiates corrective actions, assures safety practices and keeps employees informed of management and personnel policies.
You will be aware of and sensitive to the objectives and goals of EEO and cognizant of responsibilities as outlined in the NAVSEA Affirmative Action Plan.
You will oversee identification of resource requirements and development of strategies for program planning, budgeting and execution (PPBE).

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing acquisition program requirements (e.g., contracts, manpower, technical performance, production schedules, delivery and/or post-delivery efforts, budget planning and execution) to ensure the operational readiness, maintenance, or modernization of ships, submarines or weapon systems.
