Duties
You will serve as a senior program manager for the Ship Control System (SCS) Program, responsible for programmatic oversite of tasks on various ship class throughout the US Navy.
You will lead acquisition studies and coordinate development of cost estimates and analyses in response to OSD, ASN, OPNAV and NAVSEA tasking during all phases of ship acquisition.
You will represent NAVSEA and the Principal Assistant Program Manager to NAVSEA field activities, Fleet activities, other government agencies, and contractor organizations.
You will develop, deploy, and administer strategic plans, goals, objectives, and business office initiatives supporting technical and programmatic direction for the current fiscal year and across the Future Years Defense Program.
You will be responsible for conceiving, formulating, consolidating and promulgating program plans and decision documents.
You will provide evaluations, guidance and recommendations as the basis that forms strategies for the US Navy commonality policy and investments.
You will be responsible for solving broad programmatic and logistics issues and implements strategic plans within and across organizational components.
You will develop and maintain working relationships with other NAVSEA Life Cycle and New Ship Construction NAVSEA program managers, Technical Directors, Deputy Technical Directors, and PAPM’s.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing programmatic, technical, or administrative oversight for the development or implementation of strategic plans to support ship acquisition programs.
