Duties

You will perform routine assignments and complete on-the-job and formal training related to supporting EEO Programs. You will carry out routine tasks of EEO complaints and provide EEO counseling to less complex complaints. You will review regulations and provide basic responses to EEO related questions and inquiries. You will research appropriate regulations and guidelines when necessary and advise specialist of findings. You will maintain data in relevant databases for claimant programs.

Requirements

• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

• This position may require a 2-Year DCIPS trial period.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Working knowledge of EEO regulations, executive orders (EO), management directives, laws and other related guidance; 2. Experience as Intake point of contact for those requesting EEO counseling to determine if the nature of the complaint is EEO based; 3. Administer an EEO informal complaint process in accordance with current guidelines; 4. Provide sound guidance to EEO counselors on their counseling duties and attempts to resolve informal complaints; 5. Provide EEO Program overview for new hires.
