Duties

Identifies long range goal of assigned project and develops an appropriate plan. Researches and identifies existing sources of data to ensure records are maintained with little to no error. Maintains database for monitoring timely compliance. Prepares routine analytical status reports and interpretive presentations of trends or problems indicated by data. Participates in meetings and discussions relative to functional area. Identifies performance targets in assigned geographical area and develops or adapts an action plan for evaluation. Collects and analyzes data in terms of targeted performance standards. Ensures collected data is properly maintained in the appropriate automated database and annual and/or triennial certifications and inventories are completed in a timely manner and properly evaluated for accuracy.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 24%.
  • Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to 3 years.
  • Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Determining supply and maintenance requirements using automated systems; (2) Creating correspondence and reports within organization and to other institutions.; and (3) Using automated supply management systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09) OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Management, Logistics Management, Business Management, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational Performance AnalysisProblem SolvingSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
