This position is located in Office of Security and Integrity, Integrity Assurance Division, Technical Support Branch. As an Supervisory Operations Research Analyst, you will manage the Risk Analytics Section, containing a staff of Operations Research Analysts and Management and Program Analysts working in the area of process automation, data analytics, and data reporting for in support of the OSI mission.

Duties

Serves as the Risk Analytics Section Chief. Communicates project status, milestones, risks, and obstacles to chain of command, and prepares recommendations for leadership. Drafts memorandums, reports, and other documents related to ongoing and finished projects in order to brief senior officials and agency personnel on project status and accomplishments. Performs a wide range of process automation, data analytics, and data reporting activities. These activities include advanced data techniques, statistical analyses, computer programming, and project management. Represents agency security office on working groups related to office mission and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure representation and consensus on projects impacting multiple organizational entities. Ensures compliance with OPM, DHS, and USCIS guidelines related to employee management, including regulations and policies related to bargaining unit employees.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/17/2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/17/2025. Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: (Must be supported in Transcripts from an accredited institution, Resume and/or Applicable Certificate) Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Leading analyses and solving problems that support decision making for management. Analyzing scope, methods, and resource requirements and schedules for projects and supporting analyses. Developing statistical technical requirements, project management, and quality control of analytical activities. Directing project teams or other groups to complete projects, studies, and risk assessments. Briefing senior officials on multiple projects.
